…DRAFT WEST COUNTY ACTION PLAN…

By way of background, each RTPC is working on an Action Plan Update.

The Action Plans set performance objectives for the freeways and major arterials in Contra Costa and are a requirement of the sales tax measure (Measure J).

The first Action Plans underwent a “focused” update in 2000, and a more substantial update is taking place now.

Friday, March 7, 2008 – Draft West County Action Plan is released.

Friday, March 28, 2008 – Comments are due in writing to lisah@ci.san-pablo.ca.us by 4:00 pm for discussion at the April 10, 2008 WCCTAC-TAC meeting.

Thursday, April 10, 2008 – WCCTAC-TAC reviews comments received to date and discusses issues.

Thursday, April 17, 2008 – Comments are summarized and included in the WCCTAC Board meeting agenda.

Friday, April 25, 2008 – WCCTAC Board meeting. The Board will review comments and outstanding policy issues. At this meeting, a second draft can be distributed if issues are not fully resolved, or the Board can direct staff and the consultants to incorporate any Board comments and send the Proposal for Adoption Action Plan to CCTA to be included in the EIR for the Countywide Transportation Plan.
