RE:                   UPDATE

Hope you are having a wonderful summer!  Since the WCCTAC Board is not scheduled to meet again until September 30th, the following is an update on recent transportation issues/activities:

1.                   Please notify Nancy Cuneo by August 12th if you are planning to attend the Railvolution Conference in Salt Lake City in September and would like WCCTAC to pay for the conference attendance (as approved by the WCCTAC Board at the June 24th meeting).

2.                   The Amendment to the Measure C Expenditure Plan to include the replacement parking at the Richmond Transit Village and the remote BART parking at the Hercules Transit Center will become effective on August 3, 2005 unless a jurisdiction files an appeal.

3.                   Information regarding the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) from the Contra Costa Transportation Authority Board meeting packet is attached.

4.                   WCCTAC staff held a retreat on Friday, July 15th.  One of the discussion items was a WCCTAC “Mission Statement.”  A draft of the Mission Statement will be presented at the September Board meeting.

5.                   Four law firms will be interviewed to provide legal services to WCCTAC in FY 05-06.  Interviews will be held in late August/early September and a recommendation will go to the WCCTAC Board at the September 30th meeting.
