RE:                   SUMMARY OF THE APRIL 12TH TAC MEETING

 

The following is a summary of the April 12th WCCTAC-TAC meeting:

 

1.                  Subregional Transportation Mitigation Fee Program (STMP) – Staff provided a verbal report on the project financing and actions taken at the WCCTAC Board meeting on March 30th.

2.                  West County Action Plan Update – Paul Krupka and Michael Mowery from Kimley-Horn and Associates presented a list of additional information/projects to be considered in the Action Plan Update.  The TAC discussed other related items including ensuring that all Measure J and STMP projects were included, accomplishments toward reaching TSO’s, and changes in transit service.  At the June or July TAC meeting, additional invitees from each jurisdiction/agency will be asked to attend the meeting to review the first deliverable.  The TAC discussed having each TAC member have an alternate, which is particularly important during the process of updating the Action Plan.  Please come to the May meeting with an alternate’s name and contact information.

3.                  I-80 CMIA Project – The TAC discussed the project and suggested that an MOU for the project is important which would include:  governance principles, local trip access to the freeway/arterials vs. trips from further north in the corridor, and incidents on the freeway deferring traffic to the arterials (primarily San Pablo Avenue).  John Rudolph presented a brief, revised overview of the project components, similar to what was presented at the WCCTAC Board meeting.  Funding for Operations and Management may come from Assemblywoman Loni Hancock’s vehicle license fee bill that is currently under consideration in the legislature.  Meetings regarding O & M funding for San Pablo Avenue and the I-80 Corridor CMIA project are ongoing.

4.                  Project Updates

Verbal reports were provided by staff and TAC members.

 

The next TAC meeting will be on Thursday,  May 10, 2007

at 9:00 am at the City of San Pablo.
