RE:                   SUMMARY OF THE MAY 10th TAC MEETING

The following is a summary of the May 10th WCCTAC-TAC meeting:

1.                  Updating the Comprehensive Transportation Project List (CTPL) – Matt Kelly, CCTA Staff, informed the TAC on the process for updating/adding projects to the CTPL – the universe of projects (financially unconstrained) for Contra Costa.  Updates can be done through the CTPL website.  Deadline for updating or adding projects is Friday, June 9th.

2.                  Application for FOCUS Priority Development Area Designation (PDA) – Ted Droettboom from ABAG/MTC/BAAQMD presented this item to the TAC, after which there were questions and discussion.  The TAC conceptually agreed to a corridor-wide project on San Pablo Avenue through all of the West County jurisdictions (submitted by WCCTAC) as one possible PDA.  However, some cities noted that they would be submitting applications for PDAs as well.  Staff agreed to present the item to the WCCTAC Board this month for discussion and direction.

3.                  I-80 CMIA Project – In the interest of time, John Rudolph made a very brief presentation of Part 2 of the project components (similar to what was presented to the WCCTAC Board in April).  The Alameda CMA staff is writing the RFP for Project Development.  The O & M funding committee will not meet this month.

4.                  Project Updates

Verbal reports were provided by staff and TAC members.  Two items were added from what was in the packet:  AC Transit schedule changes and the draft State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) application.

The next TAC meeting will be on Thursday, June 14, 2007

at 9:00 am at the City of San Pablo.

Next WCCTAC Board meeting – Friday, May 25, 2007 at 7:30 am.
