RE:             SUMMARY OF THE AUGUST 9, 2007 TAC MEETING

The following is a summary of the August 9th WCCTAC-TAC meeting:

1.                   West County Action Plan Update – Michael Mowery and Paul Krupka, Kimley-Horn Associates (KHA), walked the TAC through Tables 1 through 3 which were in the packet.  There was general discussion regarding TSOs and also discussion on the goals of the Action Plan for the West County region.  KHA and WCCTAC staff will meet prior to the next TAC meeting to refine the tables and some of the language.  There was general consensus on the format for the Action Plan as presented at the meeting.

2.                   Applications for FOCUS Priority Development Area Designation – Staff distributed the list of PDA applications that had been submitted, with the Contra Costa applications highlighted.  Resolutions of Support are need for the San Pablo Avenue Corridor PDA.

3.                   2008 STIP Applications – Staff discussed the list of STIP applications submitted for West County projects and noted that a letter was on the August 10th WCCTAC Board agenda supporting the submittal of the applications.

4.                   I-80 Integrated Corridor Mobility Project – John Rudolph presented the draft of an “Exhausting the Toolbox” list of measures that have been implemented and are planned for helping reduce congestion on I-80.  This will be further discussed at the September TAC meeting and presented to the Board in September in an on-going series of presentations on the I-80 CMIA project.

5.                   Status Report on the Countywide Bike/Ped Update – Niko Letunic from Eisen/Letunic presented the update.  Data is needed from the member agencies, and the consultant will be following up with member agency staff in the near future.  The Data Collection Questionnaire is attached for reference (and was also in the packet).

6.                   Project Updates – Verbal reports were provided by staff and TAC members.
