RE: SUMMARY OF THE SEPTEMBER 13, 2007 TAC
MEETING
The
following is a summary of the September 13th WCCTAC-TAC meeting:
1.
Review the Vision and Goals for the 2008 Update of the
Countywide Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CCTP) – The TAC briefly reviewed this issue and staff will
prepare a Memo to the WCCTAC Board regarding additional issues to be considered
in this chapter of the CCTP.
2.
Issues and Options for the Expenditure of T-PLUS Funds
–The TAC decided that it would wait
for final action by CCTA on this issue and not comment at this time. There was general consensus that, because
Federal funds are involved, that larger projects would be better due to the
amount of time required to go through the Federal process.
3.
PUC Grade Separation Priority List –
Information was provided and John Rudolph gave a brief verbal report on
information received from Rosa Munoz at the PUC. Local jurisdictions will apply directly, and
John Rudolph may be contacted for assistance.
4.
Project Updates – Verbal reports were provided by staff and TAC members. Of note are the following: (a) Action Plan Update – the TAC provided
comments on the issue of “measurable” goals/actions and staff will forward the
comments to Kimley-Horn (consultant); (b) an update on the San Pablo Dam
Road/I-80 interchange project will be included in the Board agenda packet for
the September 28th meeting; and (c) the TAC requested additional
information on the I-80 CMIA project prior to having their Boards/Councils
enact Resolutions of Support. Staff will
work with the Alameda CMA and consultant team to set up a technical meeting.
The next TAC meeting will be on Thursday, October 11, 2007 at 9:00am
