RE:                   NOTES FROM SPECIAL WCCTAC BOARD MEETING

ON APRIL 4, 2008

 

Board Members Present:  Chair Sharon Brown (San Pablo), Vice-Chair Maria Viramontes (Richmond), Joe Wallace (AC Transit), Janet Abelson (El Cerrito), Jerrold Parsons (WestCAT), John Marquez (Richmond Alternate), Roy Swearingen (Pinole), and Ed Balico (Hercules).

 

Staff Present: Lisa Hammon, John Rudolph, Linda Young, Nancy Cuneo, and WCCTAC Legal Counsel Bryan Otake.

 

At the April 4, 2008 Special Board Meeting (called to order at 8:08 am in the City Council Chambers at the City of San Pablo), the following actions were taken:

 

1.                  On motion by John Marquez, seconded by Ed Balico, and approved unanimously, the Board voted to designate a four-member Subcommittee (Sharon Brown, Maria Viramontes, Roy Swearingen, and Joe Wallace) to review proposals and enter into a contract with a recruitment firm for the Executive Director’s position.

2.                  On motion by John Marquez, seconded by Maria Viramontes, and approved unanimously, the Board voted to designate the Personnel Committee (Chair Brown and Vice Chair Viramontes) to interview and hire an Interim Executive Director from potential retired City Managers, consultants, or other sources.

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:51 am to the next regularly scheduled Board meeting on April 25, 2008.
