It is our mission to address the complex and multifaceted transportation needs of West Contra Costa County by providing leadership, vision and public policy development to create a comprehensive and cohesive transportation program that responds to our communities' present and future needs.
WCCTAC Board meetings are held the 4th Friday of each month from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
WCCTAC Technical Advisory Committee meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
WCCTAC is one of four Regional Transportation Planning Committees (RTPCs) in Contra Costa County and represents the West Contra Costa County sub-area.
WCCTAC recently added a new program for senior and disabled residents of West County. Driving can become more difficult as we age, or if you have a disability that restricts your ability to drive. WCCTAC has now developed a travel training program to help senior and disabled residents learn how to use transit (bus and BART), ferry and local city van services for senior and paratransit.
WCCTAC is working to expand express bus service from the West County to destinations in Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland, and San Francisco.
